Terms and Conditions
Senda2b is designed to enable the best parcel delivery services by providing a range of carriers and their services at advantageous prices, often unavailable to the general public. Senda2b acts as an intermediary; which means that we compare prices and automate the flow of information between you and the carriers for collection, despatch and ongoing tracking information on the parcel delivery.
Senda2b are not a carrier, we never see or touch your parcel. Our relationship and technical interface with the carriers allows you to benefit. Therefore, you need to deal directly with the carrier if you require more information than we send to you via email or through our tracking windows. Senda2b only need to get involved if you need to pursue a genuine claim.
With this in mind, we will use Plain English to explain our Terms and Conditions of using a Senda2b service.
If you want to see more, the full length Terms and Conditions are available here.
Our Terms and Conditions in Plain English:
These terms apply to the Contract between Senda2b.com ("We", “Our” or “Senda2b”) and the person who has paid for the delivery ("You") for the supply of a delivery service.
Senda2b is a re-seller of delivery services. Our delivery services are provided by some of the UK’s best known carriers including: DHL, HDNL, DPD, Parcelforce and Collect+.
The Senda2b website asks you to provide details about your parcel(s) in order to find you the carrier services that are best able to deliver your parcel(s) and the corresponding price for delivery. This means Senda2b relies on you to be accurate when you enter the parcel delivery details, especially weights and dimensions.
Senda2b provides a single up-front price (incl. VAT) for each carrier service that can deliver the specified parcel(s). This includes a clear expectation of date and time for collection and delivery and a standard insurance level.
The contract is formed on behalf of the carrier when your payment has been successfully processed by Senda2b and the labels generated. Due to the nature of our services the carrier is notified immediately on payment in order to start preparations for collection therefore we are unable to allow a cancellation after payment has been made.
Senda2b and the contracted parcel carrier expects the Sender (whether it is you or someone else) to ensure that each parcel is labelled, appropriately and securely packaged (securely also means that it is safe for the courier company to carry and that means that fragile, bulky and awkward items do need a lot of care in the packaging) for transport and ready to hand over to the carrier, properly packaged, at the time of collection. If the parcel is not ready to be collected, then the carrier may refuse to complete collection of the parcel, without refund.
There are some items that the contracted carriers will accept and carry, but with strict conditions – we call these Restricted Items. Restricted Items, by their very nature, are those that are more likely to become damaged or lost during delivery or have the potential to damage other parcels. Think ‘bottle of wine’ or ‘laptop’. If a parcel containing a Restricted Item becomes lost or damaged, there cannot be a claim for compensation. However, feel free to make arrangements for your own delivery insurance. See our Restricted Items list here.
The contracted carriers cannnot accept or carry parcels containing items that are on our Prohibited Items list. These are items that may be illegal or may harm the carriers delivery driver, may damage other parcels carried by the carrier, may require a particular expertise to carry or a variety of other reasons. See our full Prohibited Items list here.
You should also be aware that there a number of items that cannot be shipped to other countries due to import restrictions in those countries. Unfortunately, we don’t have a full list of those (some are in our restricted Items list and Prohibited Items list) and you will need to check with the customs lists for those countries (there isn’t one single place).
Senda2b reserves the right to pass any unexpected charges or surcharges, if the carrier finds that the parcel is different to that described on the Senda2b website (i.e. wrong weight or dimensions) or it contains prohibited items or if there are any unplanned hassles when attempting to collect or deliver a parcel (e.g. the Sender is not home or the parcel requires re-packaging).
Carriers aim to provide extremely high levels of service and will make best endeavours to achieve a successful collection and a successful delivery to the expectation set by the service description on Senda2b. Where a delay occurs unexpectedly - for which Senda2b and the contracted carriers cannot be blamed - we will keep you advised of any delays and the contracted carriers will work to complete collect or deliver a parcel once the circumstance has come to an end.
In the rare event that a parcel or items contained within the parcel become lost or damaged during delivery, please tell us in writing as soon as possible. Where loss or damage has been due to the contracted carriers, we will be happy to refund you the cost of delivery and the cost price of the loss or repairs up to the value of the agree liability. However, you must tell us of any damages within 7 days of the parcel being collected from the Sender; and you must tell us of any loss within 14 days of the parcel being collected from the Sender.

Formation of the Contract
Completion of the parcel details and selection of a valid delivery option on Senda2b's website is an offer to buy Services from Senda2b. There will be no Contract of any kind between Senda2b and the Customer unless and until Senda2b or its authorised payment processor confirms payment has been accepted.
The Customer's offer will be accepted when Senda2b or its authorised payment processor confirm payment has been accepted and an electronic label is generated by Senda2b.
Senda2b may change its terms without notice to the Customer in relation to the provision of future services.
Senda2b and the Customer agree that:
- Consignments will be carried subject to the terms and conditions of carriage of the Relevant Carrier as such terms and conditions of Carriage are displayed from time to time on the Relevant Carriers website (as identified by the appropriate hyperlink on Senda2b's website); and
- That in the event of conflict between these Terms and Conditions and those of the Relevant Carrier then those of the Relevant Carrier shall take precedence; and
- That the Service commences at the point that the contract is concluded and the system has generated the electronic labels. The Customer agrees that therefore the Service starts before the end of any cancellation period defined by Law; and
- That the Consignment described by the Customer at booking will match the Consignment that is presented to the Relevant Carrier at the Carrier Collection Point; and

- That in the event that the Relevant Carrier claims additional charges from Senda2b that relate directly to the supply to Services to the Customer, the Customer shall indemnify Senda2b regarding those additional charges and agrees to pay the additional charges after Senda2b has notified the Customer that the Relevant Carrier has claimed such charges.
Collection and Delivery
Arranging a Collection
Senda2b's automated system will book the collection and delivery as per the Customer's request (e.g. provided to Senda2b by submission of all parcel details and selection of a valid delivery option).
Senda2b's automated system will not allow booking if the requested time slot is not available and will prompt the Customer to select an alternative time slot.
Collection
Collections are made on Working Days only, unless otherwise indicated.
Collection dates and times are not guaranteed on any service, unless otherwise specified.
In the event that the Relevant Carrier is unable to collect the Consignment or any part thereof, the Relevant Carrier will either leave details of the attempted Collection at the Relevant Collection Point asking the Customer to re-book the Collection or attempt to collect the next Working Day.
Senda2b or the Relevant Carrier reserves the right to refuse any Consignment or Parcel tendered at the Relevant Collection Point where the Consignment or Parcel exceeds weights or dimensions provided by the Customer at Contract Formation or there is not a valid label attached to any Parcel or where the Parcel is not packaged sufficiently to effect safe delivery or where the Parcel is believed to contain an item that is believed to contain a Prohibited item.
No reduction or refund of delivery charges will be made if the Relevant Carrier receives less than the number of parcels for which the Customer has been contracted.
Deliveries
Deliveries are made on Working Days only, unless otherwise indicated.
Delivery dates and times are not guaranteed on any services, unless otherwise specified.
The Relevant Carrier will make one attempt to delivery a Consignment during normal working hours, as specified at the booking of the delivery.

If the Consignment cannot be delivered, then the Relevant Carrier will return it to their local depot after leaving details at the Relevant Delivery Point for how and when the Recipient can make alternative delivery arrangements with the Relevant Carrier.
If the Recipient does not make alternative delivery arrangements within the specified time, then the Relevant Carrier will return to the Recipient at the Customer’s cost.
Surcharges and Additional Charges
Senda2b provides a facility for the Customer to provide the correct parcel weights and dimensions when booking a delivery. Senda2b uses this information to only offer the best and most appropriate carriers or couriers to carry your parcel(s).
Senda2b will not offer a carrier or delivery service that is not able to carry the parcel(s) specified during delivery booking.
If the parcel weights, dimensions and number of parcels submitted during delivery booking is different to that of the physical parcel(s) that is to be sent, this may result in an inappropriate delivery option being offered, selected by the Customer and a contract formed for service.
In these circumstances, additional and unforeseen charges for collection and delivery will become payable by the Customer, where the Customer chooses a carrier service that is not available to carry the physical parcel handed to the carrier or delivery service. Senda2b reserves the right to charge additional amounts to the Customer in circumstances where the Customer has paid for a delivery booking and provided parcel weight and dimensions that are substantially different to that which the selected carrier actually carried.
Senda2b reserves the right to charge additional amounts to the Customer in circumstances where the Customer has paid for a delivery booking and provided parcel weight and dimensions that are substantially different to that which the selected carrier actually carried.
Additional charges may also be incurred by the Customer, where the Sender or the Recipient may have, by their actions, caused a failed or delayed collection or required additional packaging to secure a parcel or a failed delivery occurs and the selected carrier service does not allow for such an event.
Additional charges may also be incurred by the Customer, as a result of customs taxes, duties or any other such import and handling charges or additional delivery charges not being paid by the Recipient or by refusal of customs authorities to permit import of the parcel. In agreeing to the Senda2b’s terms and conditions, the Customer agrees that Senda2b is authorised to charge and collect surcharges (plus £5 + VAT administration fee plus any payment transaction fees) from the payment method offered by the Customer for payment of the originally requested Services.
In agreeing to the Senda2b’s terms and conditions, the Customer agrees that Senda2b is authorised to charge and collect surcharges (plus £5 + VAT administration fee plus any payment transaction fees) from the payment method offered by the Customer for payment of the originally requested Services.
If the original payment method is not available, all attempts will be made to recover the outstanding charges from the Customer.
Below are the circumstances in which the surcharges and additional charges become payable. The value payable will depend on the carrier used.
Surcharges due to incorrect parcel information:
- Out of Gauge Dimension - where dimensions of the parcel are larger than that provided at delivery booking.
- Out of Gauge Volume - where the combined dimensions of each parcel combine to provide a volume larger than that provided at delivery booking.
- Out of Gauge Weight - where the weight of the parcel is heavier than that provided at delivery booking.
Additional charges due to Sender or Recipient actions:
Additional charges may also be incurred where the Sender or the Recipient may have, by their actions, caused a failed or delayed collection, or required additional packaging to secure a parcel or a failed delivery and the selected carrier service does not allow for such an event.
- Driver not able to collect from Sender address - where the Sender is not at the Collection Address or the parcel is unable to be uplifted from the Sender address for any reason.
- Driver not able to collect within reasonable time - where the Sender takes longer than is reasonable to complete collection with the Relevant Carrier.
- Sending additional parcels not booked for a Senda2b collection
- Re-delivery - where a delivery is not able to be made and delivery must be re-arranged with the Recipient.
- Re-pack into a new box - where packaging provided by the Sender is insufficient for the parcel to be transported safely through a carrier’s network.
- Reseal existing box - where the parcel is not sufficiently or securely sealed to ensure safe transit through a carrier’s network.
- Return to Sender - Where the carrier has made reasonable attempt to deliver to the specified delivery address, but is unable to successfully complete delivery and the carrier subsequently returns the parcel to the Sender.
International Deliveries and Customs Charges
All International Deliveries require copies of the customs documentation containing information to be affixed to the exterior of the parcel so that it is visible to the carrier and/or the customs authorities on arrival at each depot.
Customs charges due upon the parcel entering the country must be paid for by the receiver.
It is the responsibility of the Customer to ensure that the items contained within the parcel are permissible to be imported into the destination country of the delivery address. Senda2b is not responsible for failed deliveries associated with a parcel refused by the customs authorities of any country.
The customs entry point / depot will hold the parcel for a short limited time due to space, so a reply must be made within 2 working days to avoid the parcel being returned and additional charges made for the return of this parcel to you.
In the case of services where the Company is required to collect goods from or deliver goods to a country outside the UK the Company's liability (subject to (b) below) is governed by the relevant provisions of the Convention on the Contract for the International Carriage of Goods by Road as set out in the Schedule to the Carriage of Goods by Road Act 1965 (as such Schedule may be amended from time to time) ("the CMR Regulations") and in particular Articles 17 and onwards, which provisions will be incorporated into this Agreement and will apply in place of any inconsistent terms above written. A copy of such provisions will be supplied if required.
In relation to that part of any carriage performed by air and if the transit by air involves an ultimate destination or stop in a country other than the country of departure, the Warsaw Convention as amended may be applicable and the Convention governs, and in most cases limits, the liability of the Company in respect of loss of or damage to consignments.
Prohibited and Restricted Items
Prohibited Items
The Customer agrees not to send any Prohibited Items through Senda2b's services.
Consignments or Parcels that are deemed by the Relevant Carrier to contain Prohibited Items will be refused at the Relevant Collection Point without any refund of delivery charges to the Customer.
Restricted Items
The Customer agrees that, if the Customer sends a Restricted Item(s) that the Service will be provided without either inclusive or additional insurance for damage or loss to the Consignment or any part thereof and the Customer agrees that Restricted Items are sent through the Service entirely at the Customer's risk and that no claim for damage or loss can be made under any circumstances.

Claims for lost or damaged Consignment
Senda2b's liability in respect of lost or damaged Consignments or part thereof will be subject to the limitations contained in the terms and conditions of the Relevant Carrier.
Senda2b's liability for loss or damage to Consignments or part thereof is excluded in the event that Senda2b does not receive written notice of such loss or damage from the Customer within 7 days of receipt in the case of damage and 14 days in the case of loss.
Senda2b shall not be liable for loss or damage arising from incorrect fixing of labels or provision of insufficient packaging or from any incorrect information being provided to Senda2b by the Customer.
Each service includes insurance cover up to the amount of £1,000.00 per tonne against loss or damage.
If the Sender combines packages without putting them in an outer box and the parcels come apart in transit, then once the remaining parcels are signed for by the Recipient, then the Customer accepts that they cannot make a claim for loss (or partial loss).
Any claim for loss or damage must be supported by a copy invoice or receipt to prove the value of the Consignment(s). In the event of claims for damage Senda2b reserves the right to request inspection of the packaging and of the item in the condition it was delivered, at the address is was delivered to, and to reject the claim in the event that inspection is not provided by the Customer

In the event that a damaged item cannot be repaired, the Customer must provide written proof of this from a relevant specialist before Senda2b.com can consider the full claim amount.
In the event that Senda2b approve a claim and repair costs are paid to the Customer, no postage costs will be paid by Senda2b.
